Ken examines a finely detailed Crow Mother Katsina carving by Timothy Talawepi.

Greetings from Santa Fe!

As we approach summer, lots of exciting things are happening here at the Wheelwright, including the arrival of great items at the Case Trading Post. This small group shows some of the beautiful new work now available at the Case. Deanna Tenorio brought us a gorgeous 10 strand white clam shell heishi necklace with 14K gold spacer beads, made specifically for us! Charlene Reano also made us several double sided shell mosaic necklaces (something she said she has not made in 10 years, but at my request did so). Also, check out the great new tile by Autumn Borts Medlock. I’m also happy to carry the new sculptural style Katsina carvings of Tim Talawepi. His attention to details on these pieces always catch my eye. Take a look, and please let us know if you have any further questions.

This necklace represents an incredible amount of work, as each white clam shell bead is handmade.

These necklaces are double-sided, featuring a mosaic of mixed stone and shell on the pendants. Charlene created these necklaces in a style she has not done for 10 years, at the special request of the Case Trading Post.

Carved Flat Katsinas by Tim Talawepi, mosaic necklaces by Charlene Reano, and a heishi necklace by Deanna Tenorio.

All of these items are available for purchase at the Case Trading Post!
