Old Friends, New Faces: Artist Demonstrations

The Case Trading Post, our museum shop, presents their annual Old Friends, New Faces, a multi-day event to coincide with the annual auction. Meet exceptional Native artists and see how they make their work! Featured demonstrators include Darance Chimerica (Hopi), Kelly Church (Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Ojibwa), Felicia Fragua (Jemez Pueblo), Carlton Gallegos (Santa Ana Pueblo), Benjamin Harjo, Jr. (Absentee Shawnee/Seminole), Mary Jacobs (Seneca), Samantha Jacobs (Seneca), Kevin Pochoema (Hopi), Deanna Tenorio (Santo Domingo/Pomo), and Peterson Yazzie (Navajo).
Youth artists, sponsored by the auction, include Quahada Burgess (Comanche) and Mosgaadace Casuse (Ojibway/Navajo).
Come meet the artists and learn more about their work! Adult artists will be demonstrating on the museum plaza while youth artists will be under the auction tent
A free shuttle and offsite parking will be available at the First Baptist Church on 1605 Old Pecos Trail as well as St. John’s United Methodist Church at 1200 Old Pecos Trail. There is also additional parking available on Museum Hill at the Stewart L. Udall Center for Museum Resources lot as well as the overflow parking at MIAC. Free to attend.
