"When I was a young girl, my maternal grandfather always began his tribal story and history with the preface, 'according to Gaheli,' which meant his story or recollection came from the authoritative source," reveals Jicarilla Apache historian and author Veronica E. Collectors’ Circle: Colin Coonsis Artist Talk

Open to Collectors’ Circle members only. A third-generation jeweler, Colin Coonsis began creating while working alongside his mother as a child in Zuni, New Mexico. By the age of eighteen, his work had received multiple awards and recognition. Colin’s work is filled with the traditions of Zuni inlay and an exciting 21st-century twist. Colin makes jewelry that people simply love—you will, too!

Collectors’ Circle: Film — Old West Trading Posts: 100 Years of Barter and Trade

Open to Collectors’ Circle members only. This documentary film conveys the rich history of the trading posts of the American West, particularly in Arizona and New Mexico. Through rare archival footage, intimate interviews, and photographs of sweeping vistas, you will learn about barter, trade, pawn, and medicine men. Documentary filmmaker Jonathan Williams brings back to life this remarkable history of the new white settlers (Bilagáana) and the Diné.
