The Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian (WMAI) has openings for museum docents in 2026! If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a volunteer docent, we will be accepting applications until October 1st for docent training this calendar year.
You can apply by completing an application here on our WMAI website. This will produce a pdf document to fill out. Completed applications (the pdf) should be emailed to info@wheelwright.org. All applications are due by October 1.
Applicants will be invited to coffee at the museum on October 7th, 2025 to meet museum staff, the docents, and Friends Council representatives.
You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of docents at that time and review the training curriculum that begins on October 20. Join us!
