The Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian’s new exhibitions Pathfinder: 40 Years of Marcus Amerman an expansive exhibit exploring the Choctaw artist’s multi-faceted work in beads, glass, paint, and performance art; and Masterglass: The Collaborative Spirit of Tony Jojola, dedicated to Jojola considering his influence and collaborative work will open February 10, 2024. Both artists gave themselves permission to experiment and innovate, and these exhibitions celebrate their influence in the Native American art world.
The Wheelwright Museum will have a full closure from January 7 through February 9, 2024 to allow for renewal of spaces and other internal work, before re-opening in 2024. A series of events yet to be announced are planned for the opening of both exhibitions in February.
