Begay (Navajo) is a fourth generation weaver from Arizona. She raises her own churro sheep, taking the wool from shearing, cleaning, carding, and dyeing, to spinning. She experiments with traditional and exotic plant dyes to attain subtle and brilliant shades of color.

“Everything in my weaving is natural. I use the same techniques passed from my ancestors to me to create designs that have artistic and traditional value.”
